Every place has its own characteristics, and my hometown is not an exception. My town is famous for black rice. Every family will eat black rice around the Dragon Boat Festival. It is made of vaccinium and rice. It usually doesn’t looks good. It will take five steps before you can enjoy the delicious meal. First, you should go up the mountains and pick the vaccinium back. Then, you need soak them in water. Next, you may use a pestle to extract juice, choose good glutinous rice and soak it in juice day and night. At last, you can cook it and enjoy the meal. It is good for us to sprinkle sugar, honey, and some sweet-scented Osmanthus honey. It is a symbol of reunion. We can not only enjoy it by ourselves but also can send it to others as a gift. On that day, all the family members will get together to memorize the ancestors and make a wish for the future. I am proud to say that my hometown has the most delicious black rice in the world.
