摘要： A water sensor apparatus (20) for detecting water in the various reservoirs of afuel system includes a support housing (22) that contains the control electronics. A probe(26) electrically conductive is electrically connected by a conductive wire (24) to theelectronic system and is screwed at least partially inside a tank (28) of the fuel system. Anoscillator (58) is included in the electronic system for supplying an alternating currentsignal at the probe (26) electrically conductive. The system further comprises circuitry forcomparing the resultant resistance of the sensor (26) electrically conductive with a knownresistance and furnir an output signal representing the probe resistance (26) electricallyconductive. A green light emitting diode (36) is electrically connected to the output so asto turn on when the output is low, thereby indicating the absence of water, and a red LED(38) is electrically connected to the output to flash when a high output is detected,thereby indicating the presence of water.
